UAOS is a buying group.
Three times a year the syndicate asks for quotes from a range of suppliers, offering them the chance to supply all of our members at one go. This allows the supplier to reduce their costs by supplying a large number of customers in one go, and they can pass their savings on to us.
We compare the received quotes and place a bulk order with the cheapest supplier.
Then they supply the oil. The UAOS members pay the supplier the reduced rate.
That's it.
The only contracts are the commitments by the members to pay the chosen supplier directly for the oil they receive. UAOS is never involved in any financial transaction.
Members can decline to take any scheduled delivery or can alter their desired quantity, as long as sufficient notice is given to an organiser.
Members are free to order any extra deliveries as and when required.
